Symphony of Flowers: A Design of Contrast
My latest project, Symphony of Flowers, explores a variety of shapes and materials in contrast to flowers and greenery. I wanted to create a sculptural base that is unusual for flowers yet showcases their unique shape and characteristics.
Flowers used include millet, explosion grass, and three varieties of snap dragon. The sculpture tilts glass tubes on an angle, creating a swirling or dancing effect with the flowers, while the green grass seems to float; the entire design created unique points of interest from all angles.
