A Black-Tie Wedding in a Modern Industrial Space
Many of the weddings I design for in the Hudson Valley have both ceremony and reception within the same venue. Flowers are the perfect way to create a sense of space and define different parts of the event.
For a wedding at Senate Garage in Kingston, NY, we leveraged the benefits of this beautifully restored industrial building with large windows and high ceilings. Light, flowing drapery was hung as a backdrop to a white birch chuppah, which was covered with greenery and a variety of white blooms to define a distinct location for the ceremony.
Floral centerpieces were placed throughout the bar, lobby, and dining areas to bring everything together as guests moved to the cocktail and reception areas. Alternating high and low centerpiece designs took advantage of the large, open room and helped fill the space, from dining to dancing. It was such a great event to be a part of. Congrats Sam and Sam!
