Inviting the beauty of nature to spill into a classic ballroom for an Elegant evening
When a bride-to-be came to me through another client, I was honored to have the referral—and thrilled to be designing both weddings for these two friends! For this event, she wanted me to create something that combined a touch of the couple’s nature-loving personality with the elegance of a classic venue that featured a grand hall and large chandeliers.
My concept for the night was to bring the outdoors inside. For the grand hall at Le Chateau, we began with centerpieces of mixed florals, garland and succulents. It was an early fall event and foliage had just started to turn, presenting a mix of beautiful reds and oranges, along with the late greens of the season. We designed a few elements that brought branches and lots of natural colors into the warm ballroom, along with a tint of fall foliage, where it felt right.
This is from Jackie:
“I'm so grateful to have worked with Athabold for my wedding in October 2018 at Le Chateau. Working with Shuheng was a pleasure from start to finish - Shuheng put so much thought and care into her proposal after speaking with me to understand our vision for the wedding. She was completely professional and so easy to work with. And her work is just amazing. We received countless compliments on our floral arrangements and bouquets. Shuheng was so accommodating to our crazy schedule the day-of and our arrangements were just perfect. HIGHLY recommend this extremely talented artist.”
Congratulations Jackie and Mark!
