Bringing the Vision to Life: 2017 Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival Floral Installation
I was super thrilled when Kimberly from Tousey Winery brought up the opportunity to design a floral installation for their booth at the 2017 Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival in Rhinebeck, NY. I enjoyed every step of this collaborative process: from the initial discussion and proposal; to meetings with Kimberly and Ben from Tousey Winery, along with their marketer and interior designer, Chris, from Pioneer Agency; to the final creation and installation. It was magical to be able to bring a vision to life and I couldn't be happier to see the big smiles on everyone's face. I was overjoyed to learn that the design won the "best booth" contest in the entire festival! And big congratulations to Tousey on winning double gold (highest prize) for their wines and Winery of the Year! It was truly a fantastic event!
Just a few moments before the festival opened to the public. Love the crisp white shirts and pastel bowties - sophisticated and inviting - it all worked together!
Here are some of the "behind the scene" images that show how everything came to life!
Flowers came from Rock Steady Farm a local Hudson Valley grower. They were harvested the day before the installation - can't get more fresh than that! Fun fact: there were more than 1,200 stems of flowers in the entire installation!
